Shortcut Introduction Of Dengue Fever Part 1

Dengue Virus

There are four strians of dengue virus and referred to as DEN-1,DEN-2,DEN-3,DEN-4.The dengue virus is transmitted from a sick person to a healthy person by the bite of female Aedes Mosquito. This virus consist of R..A. and proteins. It develops in the gut of female Aedes mosquito from where it travels to other parts of the body. The virus seems to have no destructive affection the mosquito.

In human it multiplies in lymph nodes, liver and other parts of the body...

Life History Of Aedes Mosquito

Like other mosquitoes Aedes mosquito completes its life cycle in four stages i.e.eeg,larva,pupa and adult.

The female Aedes mosquito after feeding on human blood lays eggs after 3-4 days in clean standing water.Anything which can hold a small amount of water is the the best place for the development of the mosquito e.g broken roof tops, discarded tyresshopping bagstoys ect.The eggs are laid in intervals and their number may very from 50-300.Depending on the humidity and temperature, the larva hatches from the eggs within 2-7 days,The larvae hang from the surface of the water and respire through a respiratory tube called siphon.During its development the larvae cast off their skin four times and finally develop into pupa.

The pupa does not feed but it breathes through a small respiratory trumpet which protrudes out of water. They come out of their covering after2-3 dayss and become adults. After emerging from the pupa the mosquito rests on the surface of water for some time and then then flies away.
